Four-day get-a-way to the Black Hills of South Dakota!  Ross Thacker will be the Ride Coordinator for this run!

Meeting Location:

Franktown, Conoco station (SE corner of 83 and 86)

Route:

1. head east on 86 to Kiowa
2. Turn north on the Kiowa-Bennett Rd to Bennett
3. north on 79
4. Turn east on 52 which turns north on 52 to I-76
5. East on I76 to Brush
6. North on 71 (thru Kimball, Scottsbluff, Crawford, to Hot Springs
7. North on 385 into Custer

Lodging: Shady Rest Motel (605-673-4478)

I've reserved the Hunting Lodge:

• Sleeps 8-10, rate: $225/night (2  private bedrooms with 1 Queen bed, 2 Full beds (in loft), 1 Queen hide-a-bed in living room, full fridge, 4 burner stove top, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, A/C, heat, 3 TVs...kitchen, family room, 2 bathrooms, deck.  (sleeps 8-10))  
• We'll divide the cost on a per bed basis: $225/night / 5 beds = $45/night (minimum 3 night stay), otherwise $250/night, or $50/night with 5 beds. Less beds full, more cost per bed...
• Length of stay: 3 nights (arrive Aug 30, checkout Sep 2)
• The sooner you contact Ross with confirmation, the better, for space in the Hunting Lodge - once the Lodge fills up, the other cabins can be reserved by you (not me).  See the web site for cabin amenities and rates, i.e. $94.50/night two bed cabins, with 3-night stay, so these cabins are not a bad price!
• The motel is on the south edge of town (Custer, SD), only two blocks to restaurants and bars (no need to night ride after eating/drinking).
• Cancellation Policy:  "...10 day Cancellation Policy.  If you cancel within 10 days of your intended arrival, you are financially responsible at the daily rate (not the discounted extended stay rate) for any days within your reservation that we are not able to rebook."
