SATURDAY, 6 OCTOBER 2018 Trip Map

• Meeting Location:  Conoco at 428 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907
• KSU:  9:00am
• Trip Description:  We’re going to ride to Westcliffe, CO from COS by way of Hwy 115 through Florence.  We will stop for lunch at the Hunger Buster, 824 Main St, Westcliffe, CO 81252.  After lunch, we will head down to Taos, NM meandering through Fort Garland and San Luis. 
• Accommodations:  On the nights of 6 & 7 October, we will be staying at the Quality Inn located at 1043 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571 {(575) 758-2200}.  Choice Hotels provides a discount for VMC Members.  To book using the VMC Discount Code, at the website you will see a box titled “SELECT SPECIAL RATE.”  Open it up and choose Special Rate/Corp ID.  A box will appear at the bottom which states “Enter Rate/Corp ID.”  Enter the Victory MC ID # 00803265 and then select apply.
  • There are many hotels in Taos for you to choose from.  If you want to stay in a different hotel, here is a listing from Trip Advisor.  Please make your own hotel reservations.
• Dinner:  We will have dinner at the Guadalajara Grill 822 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte, El Prado, Taos, NM 87529.  

SUNDAY, 7 OCTOBER 2018  Trip Map

• Meeting Location:  Quality Inn located at 1043 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571
• KSU:  9:00am
• We will ride the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway.  Some of the stops will include the Taos Pueblo, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park.  We will stop for lunch at Shotgun Willies Cafe in Red River, NM.  After our run, we will head back to the hotel.  If folks want, the Taos Plaza is a nice place to look around and I'm sure that we can find a place to grab dinner.  It is about two miles from the hotel.  

MONDAY, 8 OCTOBER 2018  Trip Map  

• Meeting Location:  Quality Inn located at 1043 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571
• KSU:  9:00am
• Trip Description:  We will ride out of Taos, NM stopping for lunch at Obie's Fillin' Station in Colorado City, CO.  From there we’re going to head into the mountains up Hwy 165 meandering by Bishop Castle (we’ll stop there if folks want) and then continue north on 165, then thru Wetmore, Florence and Hwy 115 back to Colorado Springs.   

NOTE: If you have not ridden with us before, please fill out and bring the Motorcycle Ride Release.
